Celebrate Dia de los Muertos with us Sunday, November 1st

Day of the Dead is a time to remember those we’ve lost and celebrate the good things in life.  Come in this Sunday to Division and celebrate with us.  We’ll have food specials, drink specials, face-painting, and decorations, including:

How we’re celebrating at Division, Sunday, November 1st:

  • Ofrenda & Decorations: Check out our Day of the Dead altar in our entryway at Division.  It has pictures of family members and even pets of our employees that have been lost. There’s pan de muerto (day of the dead bread), Mexican folk art, sugar skulls and other decorated skulls, nichos, etc.  We’ve also got special multi-colored Day of the Dead papel picado along with skulls and skeletons everywhere.
  • Free Day of the Dead Face Painting: Sunday from 4pm to 6pm, free for all ages.
  • Free Food: Anyone who comes in with their face painted for Day of the Dead — or gets their face painted — gets a free tacoAnyone who comes in full-costume, gets a free meal.
  • Pan de Muerto: Orange and anise-flavored egg bread with traditional skull and crossbones design will be for sale as well.
  • Mole Sampler: Get 7 moles on one plate: All of our regular moles, plus a special pear mole: pork in green mole, chicken in mole poblano, smoked lamb in black mole, beef in yellow mole, butternut squash in mole poblano, mushrooms in yellow mole, and shrimp in pear mole.
  • Huitlacoche Quesadillas: The so-called “corn truffle” — a dark and flavorful fungus that turns cobs of corn into one of Mexico’s most prized ingredients.
  • Champurrado: Chocolate-cinnamon drink thickened with ground nixtamal.
